"En este libro se encuentra el resultado de un proceso de memoria para que el Estado reconozca los derechos de las personas del Macizo y garantice antes que nada su derecho a la vida,a la paz, al ejercicio de una territorialidad propia, y el derecho a ser una semilla de una sociedad mejor. No es solo el derecho a la tierra, sino el derecho a tener un modo de vivir, una cultura, una tradición, de acceder a servicios públicos como la salud, la educación, poder decidir sobre cómo manejar el entorno, lo propio, sentirse seguro en el territorio. Este es un informe escrito desde las voces de la familia CIMA para que los recuerden tal como son, evitar repetir la violencia en su contra, que futuras generaciones no cometan los mismos errores. Es recordar, fortalecer y avanzar. De eso trata este informe. Hacer parte de una organización es lo más bonito que uno puede recordar. En el pueblo una persona es un solo individuo, pero al encontrarse con otras personas en la música, el baile, la siembra, la fiesta, la cosecha, en la movilización, cocinando y comiendo todos juntos lo mismo, compartiendo el mismo piso para dormir, caminando el Macizo colombiano para exigir los derechos de quienes lo habitan. Es entonces como quebradas que van formando un río, que se va formando un proceso organizativo. De ese proceso la riqueza más grande que queda es la sabiduría, el conocimiento, amistades que luego se convierten en familia. Poder conocer gente, tener muchos compañeros en todos los municipios del Macizo, pensar que tenemos sueños compartidos, que se han logrado cosas compartidas. Eso significa ser CIMA: personas que tienen la capacidad de lograr, de tener la sensibilidad y entender las problemáticas. Hoy se puede decir que la familia se creció. Ya no desde un vínculo de consanguinidad, sino con todos quienes están en la organización que hacen parte de la gran familia CIMA, ese sentido es la riqueza más grande.
