Creating Safer Space is an international research network, which aims to understand and support unarmed civilian protection and self-protection amidst violent conflict.
This edition of the newsletter provides more information on how to apply for our research grants. We aim to fund 15-20 research projects of £20,000 - £100,000 GBP each, and applicants are warmly invited to our information sessions and to our workshops on how to write grant applications.
We are also happy to announce a new research work package, which explores nonviolent artivism against police brutality in Kenya.
Finally, you are warmly invited to our next two research cafés, which will explore two different creative and participatory research methods that are especially suitable for research on unarmed civilian protection. Come along to learn more about using Drawings and Textiles in your research!
