We are very happy to report back from Brazil, where the Creating Safer Space exhibition has encouraged university students to reflect on the role of nonviolence in the context of violent conflict.
We are also very pleased to invite you to two events. Tomorrow, the UCP/A Community of Practice is hosting an online consultation with Creating Safer Space. Looking further ahead, our Research Café in November will explore the potential links between UCP and the debate on Abolition.
Finally, we are very happy to share news from our projects around the world – scroll down to learn more about the role of religious leaders in carrying out UCP activities in Myanmar, engagements with military officers in Papua, and the risks that women, children and young people face who are involved in grassroots artistic-cultural organisations in the context of urban conflict in Colombia.
Creating Safer Space is an international research network, which aims to understand and support unarmed civilian protection and self-protection amidst violent conflict.
